MY LIFE STORY

HOW I WAS RAISED BY MY PARENTS

I grew up as a nobody, and also my parents were not well off financially. They had to depend on some of their relatives for financial support, as they served them one way or the other. I grew up in remote areas called Lands, and because of the touch life I lived at a young age, I was able to develop my survival skills very well. That was because food was not readily available most of the time. I also developed skills on how to use traps to capture birds for our consumption. We also used oxen to plant crops like melons, pumpkins, sweet reeds, sorghum, maize, and watermelons, but our production was limited since rainfall was insufficient. I also developed practical skills like milking both cows and goats to get some fresh milk. In general, our basic needs were not met.

HOW GOD MIRACULOUSLY USED A RELATIVE TO MEET MY EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

My parents did not have any plan to take me to school, and a close relative arranged for me to start my primary education. That was a great miracle indeed .I had a core desire to go to school, but it appeared to be impossible, the doors seemed to have been closed for me, but the Lord graciously opened a door of blessing through a close relative. I was invited for an interview, and the school principal was very pleased with my performance. I was promoted to start at standard two, instead of standard one. That was another miracle.


I BECAME AWARE OF THE SPIRITUAL REALM VERY EARLY IN MY LIFE

As I developed my reading skills, the first book I found interesting was the Bible. My mother was not very committed to serving the Lord, but she used to tell us some stories about Jesus’s miracles, how Daniel escaped the Lions, how Moses led the Children of Israel from the hand of Pharaoh. These stories were fascinating to me, and I was motivated to pick up her Bible to read for myself. I used to cry a lot when reading about the Lord Jesus’s sufferings because of the Jewish people. I grew up being conscious of the Lord, and as a result, I gave my life to the Lord when I was in high school (senior secondary school).

MY MINISTRY LIFE AND EXPERIENCES

The LORD by His grace led me through many stages of preparation in the world and the church. In the church , I served almost everywhere, cleaning, sweeping, ushering, singing in the worship team, ushering the pastor, working with children as a Sunday school teacher, working with teenagers, and finally I was appointed as a pastor in one of the churches in a certain village.


I have experienced some signs of the pastoral ministry at a lower level. I had the opportunity to be invited to schools to preach, churches, individual families just to minister to them, at some point the Lord confirmed His Word through my ministry by healing the sick after ministering to them. Some individuals came to the Lord because I encouraged them without being aware of it. Some people came into leadership and served the Lord because of my influence. Most of my family members came to the Lord because they were encouraged by my ministry that the Lord gave to me. Many youths and workmates came to know the Lord through my simple ministry.
This is my short story for now. But iam expecting to do great things for the Lord in the future, as I make myself available to be used to extent his kingdom in the earth.
